Hi there! Your privacy is important to us. We created ReactApp for real, personal reactions between you and your friends! Only your friends receive your Reactions :) If you want your friends to be able to share or save your Reaction, you can toggle that option when you send it! You have control over the privacy of all of your Reactions.
This Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service are part of the User Agreement. We’ve tried to keep the language simple and understandable in hopes that you’ll read them. It is important to us to not only protect your data but also to help you understand what information we collect from you, how we utilize it, and the options you have to manage that information. As a little carrot if you make it to the end of this document, we’ve linked our playlist that we listened to while building this app. We think it has some real bangers (some of Chris’s favorite songs). We are always building, so song recommendations are appreciated!
During ReactApp account creation, you provide us with:
• First / Given name (required)
• Last / Family name (required)
• Email (required)
• Mobile Number (required)
• Username (required)
• Birthdate (optional)
We receive Content (defined in the Terms of Service ) that you create when you use our Services. This includes:
• Any media (profile pictures, photos, videos, captions, comments, messages) that you share through the app
• Your recorded reactions (Reactions) that you share with your friends. For every Reaction, the user has the option to delete, to deny export permission, and to deny save permission to the user on the other end. Keep in mind that these options cannot prevent the receiving user from copying the Reaction (e.g. doing a screen recording or screen capture). We recommend that you only share content that you would want other people to see.
• All communications sent directly to us when you report a concern, request assistance, or respond to a survey. We use this information to provide support to you and improve our services.
Like all internet based Services, we automatically receive information about you from your device and your usage of our services:
• Connection and technical data such as: IP address, account creation date, last login, terminal equipment and port
• Interaction data such as: your friends, number of friends, friend invitations, reactions, captions, the friends with whom you interact the most, functional data related to comments, captions and messages.
• Usage data such as: actions performed, time of sharing, time of reacting, time of viewing, how many medias you have shared, content viewed, content interactions, deletions, blocking, hiding, application crashes and event logs
• Device and equipment data such as: device type, operating system version, language preference, and applications.
We also receive data at your permission within the app to use certain features:
• Photo Library: You can create an account without allowing us to access and collect data from your device’s photo library; without allowing this access, you will not be able to share media stored on your device
• Camera / Microphone: You can create an account without allowing us to access and collect data from your device’s camera and microphone; without allowing this access, you will not be able to share or see Content on our Services; camera and microphone data are foundational to the function of the ReactApp app
• Phone Contacts: You can decide to allow ReactApp to access your Phone Contacts to identify the friends in your Contacts who already have an account on ReactApp. We do not access your Contacts without your permission. If you choose to find your friends by allowing Contacts permission, we are able to securely sort through your Contacts to find users on the app and return usernames as friend suggestions.
• Integration with Partners: We are working on partner integrations so that you can connect a partner application to more seamlessly integrate with ReactApp. We will access device data and other necessary data if you choose to connect partner applications.
We do not sell your information because we would not want someone selling ours. We use your information to improve our Services to give you and our users the best experience in our ability.
We provide our Services to you through a variety of software and data infrastructures. Generally, our usage of the information we receive from you fits into the following categories:
Operations and Improvements: To create an account for you, receive and display Content, identify relevant accounts and Content for you, ensure our Services operate expectedly, and improve them.
Safety and Security: Ensure our users’ safety and security, the security of our Services,our partners, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Performance Measurement and Analytics: Quantifying performance of the application, app stability (whether the app crashes and the causes), usage of various app features, and recommendations for accounts and Content.
Communications: We love to hear from our users, so we use the information that you provide to us to communicate with you. We might communicate with users to respond to a question, if Content has been reported, or if we are updating features and Services.
Research: Research is helpful for us to understand what’s important to our users. If we do research, you can decide if you’d like to participate, and we will use your feedback for product development.
We only share your information when needed for the app to function properly or when we are required by law. The categories below explain in more detail:
ReactApp Employees: To offer app support and ensure our Services operate as expected, authorized ReactApp employees may receive access to your information as needed.
Other Users: When you share Content on the app, that Content is available to your friends on the app. If you allow reshare or export permissions then that Content is available more broadly to other users on the app (via reshare) or outside of the app (via export).
Service Providers: We use several partners for services such as data storage, server hosting, notification management, feature integration, analytics, security incident management, etc. To provide you with our Services, we may need to periodically share your information with these partners.
Partner Integrations: We may need to share some of your information with a partner to integrate certain features into our Services
Legal Purposes: In rare occurrences we may receive legal requests for information regarding particular users and be required to share information with authorities or government agencies. This may occur if we learn of prohibitted Content on the app such as child abuse material, fraud, terror threats, security issues, or other Content that may be harmful to either users on the app or people outside of the app.
Ownership Change: For changes in ownership due to an acquisition, merger, or sale of assets, a bankruptcy or reorganization, ReactApp may transfer or sell information about you. In the event of a transfer of information, this Privacy Policy still applies.
We keep most information for as long as you have a ReactApp account. There are certain legal instances that might require us to keep some information for longer. You may choose to delete Content Data (Reactions, Memories, etc.) and we will no longer retain that Content. If you delete your account, all of your data will be deleted.
You may also choose whether ReactApp has access to your camera, microphone, and photo albums. We do not upload all of your photos from your albums, only what you choose. You may allow or restrict photo album access at any time and the ReactApp app will still function. However, if you choose not to allow camera and microphone permissions, then you will no longer be able to share, view, or record Content because these permissions are foundational to how the app functions.
Your Contacts are accessed by us only for the purposes of connecting you with friends within your Contacts and for offering friend suggestions. We retain this information for as long as you have a ReactApp account or allow Contacts permissions. You may turn on or off these permissions at any time and without losing the primary function of the app.
Notifications: You have the option to allow which notifications you receive from us. Upon creating an account, you are prompted with a request to grant notification permissions. You may also change your permission preference in the Settings page of your profile.
Block Users or Remove Friends: You have the ability to block users or remove friends. Options to “Block” and/or “Remove friend” can be found within the selection menu of that user’s profile. Blocking a user prevents them from seeing your profile information or content. You will not be able to see theirs either. You can unblock users in the Settings page of your profile. Removing a friend prevents the user from seeing your content, but they still have the ability to see your profile and send you a friend request.
Partner Integrations: We are working on partner integrations so that you can connect a partner application to more seamlessly integrate with ReactApp. You will be able to control whether to integrate a partner account within the Settings page of your profile.
Delete Your Account: You may choose to delete your ReactApp account at any time. The option can be found in the Settings page. Upon account deletion, all of your information will be deleted unless there is a legitimate legal reason for us to maintain the information.
In the instance that an account is permanently suspended for violating our User Agreement, we will keep all of the user’s Account Creation Data in order to prevent suspended users from creating new accounts.
Privacy is a fundamental human right. Every person who uses ReactApp, no matter where you live, can:
• Delete your account in the Settings page of your profile or by contacting ReactApp support;
• Receive a copy of your information by contacting ReactApp privacy support;
• Correct your information by using the options in Settings or by contacting ReactApp support;
